a girl after 30

"i have to push my career now, before i reach 30. cuz a woman's career ends by the time she reaches 30."

my boss (who's not a woman, btw) couldn't believe what he was hearing when he heard this statement coming from one of his female employee. he was in awe of the statement that he brought it up in our weekly meeting. he said...

"i was so shock when i heard this, coming from a young indonesian girl. cuz never would cross my mind that someone in indonesia would say that, to think that i've never seen such a great resource and flexibility on the workplace for women in indonesia compare to other countries.. and i've been around"

he's from india, btw.

it is shocking for me, too. and i couldn't help but smile when i heard this. of course, it's not something i agree but it got me wondered..

what the hell was she thinking?
